Bra Colors on Facebook

Chain mail is not only burning up my phone and e-mail, but now it's on Facebook! The idea started with a promotional e-mail.

Have you seen it? Pink, red, black and the one poor soul that put beige (poor thing)? All bra colors. Now, I don't mind knowing what color bra you're wearing, but if I don't stand a chance of seeing it? You're just a tease!

So, you did it, to help spread the word about breast cancer? Did anyone actually think about breast cancer when they saw the posts? Probably not. If you're like me, you either thought "mmmm, I'd like to see that bra for myself!" or the unfortunate "Please! I don't need to know that! Yuck! keep it covered, Mom!"

The purpose was to spread the word about breast cancer, but with no real followup plan, it just served to get all those ladies to share a little private info, and maybe flirt a little. The writer of the original chain mail ended it with: "It will be fun to see how long it takes before the men will wonder why all the girls have a color on their status!"

So boys, did it take you long?

By the way: Mine's lime green! :o)

  1. I don't think I have ever seen a lime green one. You could change that. I saw the color thing but I really didn't pay it any attention. I don't do facebook very often. Maybe I should sit up and take notice.

  2. I saw it, and it took me awhile to figure out.

I asked one of the mom's from my son's class (a major-league MILF) and she told me, and I responded by telling her that I'd stop asking questions so that I didn't get in trouble with my wife or her husband.

I tweeted about it, noting that now I'm curious about the panties that all these women are wearing. I know that's not the point of the meme, but I've got a dirty mind.

  4. My husband saw the status update thing first, figured it out (somehow) and then posted "commando" as his status. :)

  5. Violet- three things. 1. i totally agree with you! just a tease. and totally ineffective for the supposed cause. 2. this follow up email went out to tease the boys... "post how your hair is right now" so my sister of all people writes "tied up first then spread out behind" i posted "tied up, dirty, and messy" that was fun! much better because it was just a joke which is what the bra color should have been. 3. i posted my new bra pictures on my "picture show" blog. MISS YOU!
